50 50

50 50 is a movie that deals with a serious subject in a very subtle way. The depiction is not very over-the-top but at the same time very accurate. Certain moments will cause you to well up a little but a little emotional outburst is okay.

Watch this one on a rainy day when you’re contemplating and need some food for thought.

That Girl in Yellow Boots

I liked this movie. Mainly because of the way it has been written. Simple yet smart.

The movie could've been shorter, after a time the story drags and tends to lose momentum. Overall the movie is not disappointing  Because a well written movie will always end up clicking, and this movie clicks, because of it's writing, the very foundation that makes or breaks any movie.

Bullhead

Bullhead is the first Belgian movie I've watched and what a way to be introduced to Belgian cinema!

Bullhead is a movie that hits you very hard. The movie is backed by a very different and powerful script. The plot of the movie is pretty complex for a person like me who's not into thrillers but the entire focus of the story is simply very emotional.

By the end, you're blown away as the movie takes you for a ride and shakes you from the inside. Don't be surprised if you see a moist eyed man after watching a movie like this.

The Change Up [2011]

One of those movies where the plot is very obvious. A look at the poster above will give you an idea as to what the movie's about. But the good part is that the movie has its own funny moments that are genuinely funny and that just saves any comedy movie and that's just what saved this movie too.

The movie however stretches, to make the ends meet, so that we somehow reach the much awaited happily-ever-after scenario. However a few touchy moments make up for the lag and make you smile.

Overall, strictly okay.
